Cole the Flip House: Week 9

I hope you enjoy these weekly updates as I navigate through the business of flipping houses one house at a time!!  If you’re new here (Hello!!!) or just enjoy walking down memory lane, you can see my 7 previous flip houses here.  Thanks for coming along for the ride as I jump into flip #8!!!  Check out previous posts about this house here and follow along on my insta-stories for more behind the scenes goodness! This post may contain affiliate links.  For more information, see my disclosures here. Posting today from my iPad as my new MacBook starts up from my old computer back-up. Apparently spilling water on my computer a year ago makes a computer cranky and I've been working on borrowed time ever since.

I'm super excited for this weeks progress!! Cabinets AND tile!

There will be crown molding, tile backsplash and all the good stuff. Can't you just see it? The fridge will be in the corner right by the door.

As is reality when doing a renovation, we need to wait for replacements on several damaged things. The tall panel to go next to the fridge came in chipped and multiple boxes of tile were delivered shattered. Luckily it won't hold anything else up!

When in the kitchen, you can now see into the dining room where a wall used to be. This is the biggest difference in the house! The stove will be in the corner where the old pass-through into the living room used to be.

Right off the kitchen is the main bath and I'm loving the floor!

I also decided to be a rebel and go for 4x8 subway tile instead of my usual 3x6. Huge difference right?? Ok maybe not, but still a nice, clean, modern refresh.

Now that the cabinets are unboxed, you can see the dining room once again (mostly).

In the living room and throughout the main floor, wood floors got patched in.

Additionally this week, the plethora of stumps in the yard got ground down.

I'm still trying to make a few decisions including backsplash tile. I'm loving this patterned tile. I'm thinking the off white (which matches the upper cabinets) in the navy's pattern. My debate lies in the tile behind the stove. A large part of me wants to do navy in the same pattern just behind the stove but I can't decide if it will read too dark. I'll post on insta-stories for you to weigh in!

Be prepared for even more progress next week including countertops and more tile! My contractor is shooting to get the painter started in a little over a week! The end is looking good to be able to list this house in just a month!!

Have an amazing weekend!
